Zumba was Green girl of the litter and is owned by me. She was the pup I just fell in love with and couldn't let go. She basically named herself based on a dream Lee (Hamish's owner) relayed to me that she had when the pups were just born. Lee dreamt of a pup that stood out and was very playful, doing puppy play bows etc. She said she didn't actually feel any ownership over this puppy in the dream or that it was necessarily her pup but the pup would be called Zumba. Now because of the dream Lee (who was still very much torn about whether she would take a pup or not) was going to somewhat use it as a sign that "if there was a Zumba" she should get a pup. As the pups started getting up and about it became fairly clear to me that if there was a Zumba then Green Girl was it! When all the other pups had piped down and gone to sleep Green Girl would start playing by herself, doing play bows and wiggling her butt all over the place, chasing imaginary butterflies it seemed. This was a consistent behaviour with Green Girl and I just came to think of her as Zumba. Now as things turned out, Lee did take a pup - she took Purple Girl (Spice). And Zumba just stuck with Green Girl, there really was no other name for her.
